The fatalii pepper can range from 14 to 160 times hotter than a jalapeno pepper or 125,000 – 400,000 Scoville Heat Units. That’s very similar to the habanero. But what’s something that can cool that heat if you were to eat the pepper on it’s own? Oh right: salt!
This blend of our purple glazer, duganski and shandong garlics, sea salt and just a few fatalii peppers per batch have created a burst of flavor that Willy Wonka would be proud of. Like Willy Wonka’s Three-Course Dinner Chewing Gum, our Spicy Garlic Sea Salt delivers lasting flavor. First you get the salty, then the garlic, then a wonderful citrusy flavor of the pepper, followed by a punch of spice that quickly subsides thanks to the neutralizing effects of the salt.
This is a great finishing salt, especially if you want to retain the heat of the peppers for a dish.
